Each of the 4 buttons has dual functions (click and click & hold) and you can send 2 program change for each switch (in mode1) or 2 control change (in mode 2) or select 2 scenes (in mode 3 of AXE FX firmware) or send bank up and down and preset a/b/c/d selection for each bank in mode 3 of the Jamup/bias fx firmware
Holding for a second one of the 4 switches you'll have the following 4 modes :
MODE1 : can send up to 8 program change
MODE2 : can send up to 8 control change (you can store the combination of on/off status of 8 effect for each of the patch of MODE1)
-up to 8 scenes selection in the AXE FX firmware
-bank up and down and preset a/b/c/d selection for each bank in the Jamup/Bias fx firmware
-additional 8 patch changes in other firmware
-up to 8 controls for looper mode (AXE FX firmware)
-8 additional program changes or control changes in other firmare
Holding the switch 1 in MODE 1 will let you enter to calibration mode.
Both the external expression pedal and the Vslider will be active when MODE1 to MODE4 is selected
The iCtrl-R mini is a pocket size MIDI controller that can send MIDI messages through Bluetooth 4.0, USB, MIDI out port or...all at the same time!

The iCtrl-R has 4 different modes (you can switch between them by holding switches for one second) and a calibration mode to use the entire range of whatever expression pedal to be connected to the iCtrl-R mini .
In addition you'll have the Vslider that is a sensor capable of sending MIDI continuos control change and activate and control then effects like wah or whammy by moving back and forth the foot from the controller box.
